also when i am putting the diaphrams back in, do i need to put a smear of sealent round the top where the lid joins on?

What is it better to do ... float height or fuel height??

right, done it all, fired up ok on choke, then when i switched choke off it wouldnt restart unless i held it flat out and even then it would only tick over with choke on or off? WHAT HAVE I DONE?lol, ive got a feeling the pumps playing up again,i put permant live straight to the pump and would only come on every now and again, think maybe theres a bad connection inside

have u checked the oil to see if its emulsified?

yea, looks like a white coffee. if it has it means yer head gasket has gone which can lead to running probs. the oil , if u look in the viewing window will be creamy. take a gander.

checked the pump today, all is fine there, anyone got a set of carbs off a running bike that they want to sell?

What I meant was what gives you the best result as measuring the float height is quite inaccurate as it is very difficult to see

gotta take the manual as red. if its good enought for the kwak boffins then float height should do us just nicely ;)

is there anything that i can soak the carbs in overnight to clean the inside fuel way things? i dont have access to a airline so i cant blow them through
