See Chris and Mike at dynoproracing mate.
http://www.dynopro-racing.co.uk/page_1228983208953.html
they will no doubt have the programable ones in stock.
There work is second to none. They are usually very busy tho, so keep trying if you cant get thru straight away.

Re: race igniter box
I've now got one of these: http://www.ignitech.cz/english/aindex.htm
I needed it urgently so bought it off fleabay from someone supplying them in the UK, but would be cheaper to go to ignitech directly. You will need to get a suitable ignition map for you bike though, I started with the F3 curve (which can be found on this site somewhere) and it worked; but got it properly set up on a dyno. Much cheaper than anything else I could find out there

Re: race igniter box
I have been developing maps for ignitech units. I have mostly been doing mapping of HRC units for 400's. As I have a ZXR400 L model I have fully logged the SP igniter including the solenoid map for the FCR's. the solenoid map is actually PWM and has 100's of data points. As for the advance curve for the F3 it actually goes to 16,200 rpm. I would not run this on any standard 400. the standard SP is 15,200 RPM this is not quite so bad and a well blueprinted zxr can handle that. If you post the MAP I will give you some feedback on how close it is to the actual map. Do you have FCR's? and how much did you pay for the Ignitech. cheers

What is it 'ian' you are looking to achieve from a 'race igniter' ? We have spent hour upon hour with 'race igniters' on the dyno and gains have been very disapointing from my expectations....Kawasaki didnt get it far wrong with there stock cdi's...believe me! IMO it will depend how competative you are? and how quick your bike is? as to the gains you make? My riders quote...'if it drops below 9000rpm im doing something wrong' . The gains we made were ironing out a few glitches below 8000rpm. Our peak power (82 bhp) being at 15200rpm and only dropping to 78bhp at 16100(rev limit). The best advantage we found was the hot starting problem was improved with the 'RTD' programable. The only advantage we found with the 'dyna' programable was the increased rev limit. If its an increased rev limit you are looking for i would have my igniter chipped up which will maintain the 'Proven' reliability of your ignition system...And spares are easily and cheaply sourced! as you are no doubt aware.
I can increase your rev revlimit if that is what you are looking for??

Re: race igniter box
Roger, out of interest, how much does it cost to have a standard ignition chipped up to increase the rev limit? Ta
To all, FWIW, I agree, the main reason for programmable ignitions is to set a higher rev limit, they only may, slightly, give a power increase at certain revs. Which is why I see no point in getting a programmable ingnition, unless of course you want the option of being able to set a shift light and add a quickshifter without the expense of buying a q/s control unit, most programmables that I'm aware of have that capability, including the ignitech, which then makes it a bargain in my opinion

Re: race igniter box
I will chip a standard 'L' or 'M' (blue foil type badge) igniter from 14500rpm to 15660rpm for £50 including return postage, bearing in mind i had one done by 'superchips' a few years ago and it was £105 ??? from memory.

Re: race igniter box
That sounds good, will this not affect reliability? Had my bike dyno'd 2nite first time ever 69hp. Going kinda off topic here im running 112's in 33mm cv's but the dyno said it was really lean, dont want to risk putting 110's in it or would this be fine? Also does the oil level affect power? Seemingly the zxr's have a good pick up so the oil level can be ran a touch lower giving more power. cheers leon. P.S thanks for the oil seal retainer roger looks well trick.

Re: race igniter box
Sorry ' Leon' i dont understand your logic?? if its running lean you want a bigger jet 114>>...or am i missing something?
Regarding your oil level and more power...i think your 'clutching at straws' hoping it may make a difference if you run it lower. If you overfilled it by a large ammount i could see that having a derogatory affect tho.
Dave...yes send it on to me.
