They may say your on private property and tell you where to stick it. But worth a try with a letter, might be a good idea to end the letter with what will follow up if you cant get anything out of them.

I thought that if it was a public car park technically it's not private land though? Yeah I've been on to my solicitor already who was the one that told me I might have a case against them.

Im not meaning to be rude, but 
I think you should give up motorcycle riding if you cant manage a wet painted line on the road, especially with the engine off. Unless the gradient of the road was like 50% at least maybe consider some stabilisers instead of going for a cage.
You've been onto the solicitor? I hope trafford centres in all their wisdom remove the painted lines and the bollards and provide no bike parking spaces, since they are so dangerous, i mean imagine it, painted lines on the road, whatever next?

Lmao :p does sound bad don't it mate :p and I actually talked to customer services and apparently I'm not the first person to have their bike slide out from underneath em at the same place so it looks good for me if it's happened b4 and they've not done anything about It.

seriously, there had to be more than just some tarmac paint to cause your wheel to slide out from under you while wheeling it or else we'd all be coming off on those road center markings whenever it got slightly damp.
i've had bikes for years and my own feet have slipped more times than the wheels of the bike have, even on a gravel drive. stop letting those blood sucking solicitors get rich off people who dont want to accept some responsibility and leave the few supermarkets who provide bike parking at all alone.

He's a family friend and I he simply asked how my zxr was doin I mentioned what happened and he said I may be able to claim some repair costs back.
I see ur point Mate but there's no way my bike cud have slid from under me without something being on the floor it's not like I'm gnna sue them if they dnt pay for my damages it's just I dnt exactly earn alot as a part time waiter so can't afford to have it repaired.
