Radiator

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Radiator

Post by U_h0rnet5 »

Hi I was wondering I have a part built race bike and just have a quick question about a Radiator. At the moment its an L model engine and I have a spare H model rad. Will it be OK to do this for my track/race bike?? What would be the problems if any??

Thanks
Davw

Cant see that the cooling will present a problem as if anyting track bikes are "overcooled" and the sides of the rad are often taped to reduce the cooling area of the rad -provided it mounts OK (and the hoses are compatable) then cant see that using an H rad is a problem however - thbere must be someone on here who has already done it.

they mount in different places the H and the L rads. Just makes some brackets to hold it, and you may have to flip the inlet thing on the engine depending on if the rad outlet is straight or L shaped, if ya get me
