My bike came with no service history so im planning on doing a big service on it myself very shortly now its on the road. Aside from the usual oil, filters plugs etc what should i be changing and what should i be looking for?

My bikes done about 20k miles.

i spose u could check the valve clearances

Valve clearances

Brakes,............pads and fluid inspect and replace if need be

Brake discs wear ? replace ?

Brake pipes inspect and replace if need be

Chain and sprockets inspect and replace if need be

Tyres check pressures and wear

rear suspension for wear free play worn bearings.............regrease bearings ?

Front suspension seal for leaks and stanchions for damage /wear........change oil ?

Steering head bearings adjust? regrease?

All control cables inspect, lube and adjust

Spark plugs inspect and if need be replace

air filter

oil and oil filter

Coolant................. level and correct mix

fuel filter.......inspect replace if need be

All lights horn etc etc working ?

any oil leaks

That should keep you busy for a while
untill I think of something else

after just draggin my bike out of the shed from 2yrs of no use I was about to ask said question.
