recently going down the A21 when my chain snapped and left me in limbo!so bought new chain ans sprockets but since then my bike wont go over 10,000 revs!i thought it could be the cam chain coz it was a bit loud and ust paid £350 to get all that done but it still wont do no more than 10,000 revs.could it be down to fuel filter??
its a 94 import.
also after comming off motorway or A road its stalls now and again.

could anyone help please?

Hi there, being an import the 10,000 limit sounds like you have the speedo unplugged. Does it have a kmh speedo? If so, there should be a wire from the back of it that plugs into the loom. If you have a mph speedo then you might have a de-restrictor behind it that may have come loose.

As for stopping, have you got the idle screw turned up enough?

hi,yeah its a kph speedo.so could that of just come out on its own?
its runs fine on idle but seems to run dodgy after a long spell of acceleration like on motorway or Aroad

Ok, yeah in that case id say the connector block has come apart perhaps.

Buy a small bottle of redex (the really small one) and chuck that in a full tank of fuel, fuel system may just need a good clean
