Hi guys,
I'm trying to replace my rearsets with some racing ones and I need to use one of the pivots from the gear linkage but I can figure out how to remove it.
The rod goes from the gear leaver to the gearbox and on each end this is a pivot. Is there a c ring I'm missing because of years of grease and dirt build up or do I need a special tool?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Cront

Re: Gear linkage
So perhaps I didn't make myself clear...what I'm trying to remove is the PIVOT the part that connects that rod to the gear lever. I want to remove the pivot from the gear lever.

Re: Gear linkage
I think they are pressed on as they are a rose joint (i think thats thier proper name), mine came off once after a fall and hammered it back on. I guess a good pull or some heat applied would get them off.
