What sthe general opinion. Is the Mauve purple colour just for girls and the green/white the boys colour? Your thoughts please

i've got a black and purple bike you get some banter but they soon shut up when you wop the tits off of them on the country lanes

My first ZXR was black, purple and pink and orange. Never got any stick for it, however i did eventually remove the pink and orange stickers which made it alot tidier.

Anyways, who gives a toad about what others think of your bike, its yours, your the one who has to ride it and who is anyone to tell you
weather it looks good or not unless you ask them?

kwak purple is actually called 'jetski violet' how girly is that!

my bike is half green and half purple but never got stick.

I rode mine proudly around the outside of all the bigger bikes for three years - and if they think telling you your bike has 'Barbie Pink' on it is insulting you, just think what you can say when you beat their poncey ass!

If I had another ZXR400 I'd definitely go for the same colours again, too.

well hes not spraying it far as i can tell, and his choice may be dictated by money i.e. the right bike at the right price, just not in a favourable colour.

Jamz, the state of what they are chucking out these days the colour is the last thing on my mind.

Well I have to say I won't touch a ZX9R that isn't green when I get the new one!

Does anyone know what the split is in the colours that were produced?

I should imagine each year they made more green bikes than the 1 or 2 alternative colourschemes?

dude, it was the early 90's .. anyone remember madchester/baggy trousers and shellsuits ?

besides, all 400's were partly marketed as "girls bikes" low seat, not too fast.. etc etc ..

Redexrob is right, all depends on the price as money isn't too readily available these days. Basically i'm buying it with my insurance money from being offed on my GPZ500s. So i've only got £1200-£1400 to spend. Not a lot i know>
As i used to have a zx636r b1h which was the nuts i fancy something a little bit quicker than a commuter again, hence zxr400 taking into account insurance and the like.
