Indicators?

Hey, i bought some LED indicators and they wouldnt work with the standard relay, so i got an LED one but now both sides come on at once and the arrows on the instument panel don't come on at all. any ideas? also i have an MOT on thursday so its starting to stess me out a bit now lol.

yeah, the thing is, i already stuck an LED relay in there and it seems to have worked until you look closely and you can see that when you put one side on, the other side still lights up but just much dimmer. im gunna try adding more resistors tomorow, just wondering if this had happend to anyone else?

Basicly I stuck 4 Motrax LED indicators on and turn left or right and they all came on. So I decided to plug in the lil resistors that came with the indicators so now when I turn left or right, only the side i'm turning stays on. All I got to do now is make them wink

Busters LED relay on the way and hoping that will solve it.

Busters LED relay came this morning, fitted and works wonders!!

Jam3z: make sure you wire up the indicators correctly and yes it does matter with LED indicators as I found out myself. Try swaping some wires around on the indicators and see if 1 side comes on as normal. Also try swaping the 2 cables around on the relay, sounds stupid I know but I found that out today that if you have them round 1 way, the indicators just flicker, have it round the right way and they all flash perfectly.

I'm guessing you're LEDing a ZXR400?

i acctually just got mine to work, i stuck 2 3 watt 100 ohm resistors across the indicators and they now work great. nice tutorial thingy btw tho.
just hope it passes the MOT now. :/
