Roughly how much would I been lookin at payin for a service to be done on my bike. Its been in the garage since prob october and not been on it cos i've moved out from my parents and its been there since i moved. Since the weather is lookin better I wanna start riding it again but cos its been sitting for a while thought it prob be best getting it serviced.

I've got a new pair of tyres sitting there with it so getting them put on so thought it might be worth while getting the service done at the same time.

What do you think, should I get it serviced or is there easy things I can do to it to make sure all is goin good.

how confident are you? check out the manuals and that will give you a service schedule then see if you think you are capable of doin the jobs or do what you can and let the garage do the rest to save you some cash?

I just had a full service (15000 miles)

That included

Full service ( valves, carbs, suspensin, oil, bearings, sprokets, pads etc etc)
New pads
Dyno run and set up with new exhuast
Tyres fitted.

Its worth doing, especially when.if you come to seel it and you've got a FSH!

however you neglected to answer the OP's question - what did it cost?

I think £200-£300 seems to be about the average price for most bikes for a big service.

I don't think I've ever paid for one, as I do most of it myself! It's just things like bearings and bushings that I let them do...

I mean, you should at least be able to do your own oil and filter, fluid levels and brake bads!
