(sorry, that was too cheesy and obvious a line to pass up the opportunity)

Anyways, everyone still standing this morning?

(for the benefit of foreigners and deep sleepers wondering what I'm on about, see here...)

H-h-h-how I-I-I S-s-s-survived C-c-certain D-d-d-death!!!

Holy moly!

This morning at a few minutes to one, as I was lay half awake (or half asleep, if we're being optimistic) with Lill Boo in my arms, something weird happened!

All of a sudden, it felt like the bed turned into one of those expensive massage beds!

Like a pulsing vibration but a little more violent.

Lill Boo woke up and we looked at each other in the dim light.

"What the f*** was that???" I asked her accusingly, as we'd had an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet AND fish and chips earlier. I mean, I knew it wasn't me because even as we were talking, I could still feel the rumble, and that wasn't MY ass!

"It's still going!" I pointed out, just incase she'd developed leprosy or we were both dead.

I've never experienced an earthquake before, but I was pretty damn sure that's what it was. I'd slept through The Great Dudley Earthquake four or five years ago, because it struck only hours after I'd been watching my mates playing in the National Battle of The Bands semi-finals, and so was deaf and pissed.

What really struck me as odd, was that no dogs were barking like I thought there would be - and no car alarms (or my bike!!!) were going off. The window panes didn't even rattle which was very odd considering how much the bed had been vibrating.

I kissed her neck, wrapped my arms around her - pressing my erection against her - and we went back to sleep.

We had survived the terrible earthquake!

Ok, so maybe it wasn't quite as dramatic as I make out.

It's a bit like the British version of Los Angeles rappers - technically the same thing, but thankfully very rare and, well, a bit toad.

I think a chimney fell on some bloke in Yorkshire and injured his legs.

Reports from another victim also say "The glass on the Grandfather clock in my living room rattled!".

No doubt some drunk husband got bitchslapped for farting in bed somewhere...

I doubt a tsunami is likely to hit the Midlands, but I'm holding onto hope of experiencing a volcanic eruption next - then I'll have the full house of natural disasters under my belt!

Didn't feel a thing, everyone else around here did though. I was up town when it hit waiting for a taxi, probably just thought I was a bit too drunk and stumbling :P

I LOL'd, i've been in a real earthquake and last night i was kinda sat there puzzled for a while thinking "england doesnt get earthquakes.. wtf?" and "that was far too friggin short"

Whats been making me laugh all day though is everybodies dramatics on the radio, people saying stuff like "i was sooo scared!" "i was terrified" "IT'S TEH APOCALYPSO!!!! ZOMFG!" amazing isnt it, you give someone a ferkin microphone and the amateur dramatics just take over.
