is there one available for the zxr400? not been able to find one as yet.

Nope, no haynes manual at all. It completely baffles me as to why not, they do one for the VFR and other imported 400's just not the ZXR.

I think we should petition them!

yep, seems silly not to make one.

im not finding the kwak manual much use tbh.

yeah its pretty much aimed at dealer mechanics who already have a sound knowledge of what to do.

indeed. im no newbie to mechanics but ive never touched a bike till now.

not really mate, gotta remove the tank soon to fit my scottoiler but other than that, i was just gonna have a look through the manul to aqquaint myself with the bikes mechanics

ahh righto, you know where to fit the vacuum tube for the scottoiler? Just cut one of the balancing pipes in the middle and use a white 'T' piece to link the two. Easy Bu the way, the scottoiler will also go underneath the riders seat at a squeeze

yeah, instructions say use pipes between 1 and 4.

btw, how easy is it to remove tank?

can the balance pipe be got at without removing airbox, ive heard refitting the airbox back on the carbs (the rubber bell mounth bits) can be a right nightmare.

you can get to the pipes without taking the airbox off yeah, its actually the carbs that make it more akward because the pipes are right underneath them. You can see here:

Can be either the pipe for 1n4 or 2n3, it doesnt matter. Airbox is a doddle to get on and off, not sure why anyone see it as hard. Hardest part is getting the two bolts inside the airbox to locate, otherwise it sits straight on

their is one for the zxr750 so i guess they didnt see the point in doing one for the 400. If you need anything let me know and i'll see if it can help out at all
