replacing H2 engine

unfortuanately i need to replace my engine for my H2 model.. what other engines would be suitable for my bike? L model engines okay?
well from wht i gather from other poeples posts the engines in the H models and the L models are the same. Apart from a couple of difference like carb heaters i think.
Correct me if im wrong someone
