Just bought a ZXR400L1 and the previous owner was not a great mechanic. There seems to be a pipe missing that conects to the left hand side of the air box and unfortunately the manuals dont show where it goes to. Could anyone please shed some light on what the pipe is supposed to connect to.

on mine it goes down the side of the head and then is blanked off and zip tied to the carb cooler pipe

Yeah it goes roundabout there. Its just a drain pipe for water from the airbox, its supposed to have a plug on the end so its not sucking through unfiltered air.
