So do I need to turn it out less ie 2 - 1.5 turns out or out more ie. 3 turns out?

Ported the head and its running lean across the bottom end and midrange but mainly just not idling right.

how u mean not idling right, u sure it aint the little things, like carb balance decent ignition, (well new coils for me) things like that. but ye out is richer.

Its running lean, I've ported the head and fitted new main jets. Probably needs new pilot jets tbh, but I am hoping I can get away with richening it up.

It only has to idle without surging or coughing ..

I'm not fussed about precision at this stage of the game. ;)

well thats 1 way, its very simple anyway, ""turn ur screw out til revs increase and stop increaing then stop turning. as that should be the right mixture runnig at peak. o ye turn up to fast idle first. erm or theres gunsons colourtune and also listen to the exhaust, if it sounds crips n putt putt putt then it shud be good, if it sounds flat and dull thne its rich or wrong mix."" things i read up about when doin my mixture^^^ the exhaust thing kinda works tho, i noticed a difference in sound :smt003 o and obvious thing is check plugs.
