petrol mix help asap please

hi my dad managed to put the two stroke petrol mix in my zxr 400!! its a mix of 40/1 will it do any harm??? he thinks itl just oil the plugs up

Ummm, why would do that in the first place?

Not sure what effect it would have, might just be a bit smoky. But personally id just drain whats in the tank and refill with fresh fuel to be on the safe side.

Theres a few ways of doing it,easiest would be to take the tank off and turn the tap to the on position and let it drain into a container. Here's some info on taking the tank off

if you've got empty space left then just dilute it to the hilt and jobs a good un

if you decide to run it with the fuel in be carefull not to oil plugs up and turn bike off as may not start again as hot oily plugs spart cold ones wont !

it might also clog up your carbs,

run some fresh petrol though with Redex and that should clean it all out nicely! might want to check the plugs and fuel filter if its not running cleanly after you've done the redex bit

you wont have damaged the engine though whats the main thing!
