Restricted in top gear

Hi All

Derestricted my bike the other week (sorry Baz, I was'nt allowed to use the camera as it's the misses & she would'nt take the pics, will try & get some another time).
I now have the 6th gear restriction, it pulls great in 5th, then when I change up it just drags till it gets to about 110/115'ish (found this out on the track, of course!).
So, can anyone tell me if the restriction is via a cable from the gear box, whch says when in 6th gear, don't go over certain speed or is it in the speedo?
Also, my speedo is in kph, if I use a converter gear to convert to mph, will this remove the top end restriction, as surely it would'nt get anywhere near the end of the clock?
Cheers.

Stuart

So your only at 100mph when you change to 6th? methinks you need to be revving it more. My zxr will do 115-120 at the top of 5th iirc, It's only a 400, you gotta keep it at it's peak power if you want to see it's top end.

There is no such thing as a restiction based on what gear your in
