what size jets?

Post by tomzxr400 »

hi all i have a s/s exhaust with a 600 rear can and a k&n just bought a dyno jet kit for it balanced and cleaned the carbs and it runs shite at the bottom end to bout 4k then is fine to bout 10k then flattens off played with the air/fuel mix a bit and it goes a bit better down low eg dont have to slip the clutch to stop it from stalling but top end is still poor the jets were #92 and #96 got #96 at the min just wondering is it worth going higher everyone on here seems to go on bout 102-105
need to do something is it worth getting a new choke plunger and the float kit aswell http://shop.wemoto.com/pictures.dyn?u=1914495qqq25680
or are they normaly ok cant cope no more spent a fortune on it and my mate leaves me standing in every gear on his vfr400 cant be doin with that for much longer lol

Yea i'd deffo go higher, like you say 102-105 seems to be a good starting point seeing as 95 is standard. I've been told to use 112 with a full system but to block off the air corrector jets as well (tried 112 on their own and it was way too rich)
