Got the bike on the road today but think I overdone the jetting. Was recommended to use a 112 by the supplier but think this is too high. The bike ran pants. Was smooth until about 5k, then went really spluttery and would not got past about 8k no matter how hard I tried. So what do you use?

Well on the race bikes we block off the main air correcter jets and run about 110 - 112 that should sort it and run like a dream
Chemical metal in the air correctors works well with no problems but can be a pain to drill out if needed to not that you would
Think on the road bike it takes a bit of time to start or get the nak any way dont use to much throttle and choke

I tried putting the original 95 main jets in and it ran alot better, didn't want to go past 10k but lots of power until then. Where abouts are the air correcter jets? Also have you removed the 'top hat' type air filter at the top of the airbox?

Sorry mine was a H2 not a L model but i ran a race air box
You would need some one to show you where abouts these holes are on the carbs but they are at the top in the middle when you take off the bellmouths

im running 110 mains with dynojet needles KnN filter, snorkel removed and a full micron system .. works for me ..
with standard filter/airbox, needles and full system i'd run 100's
course your bike may respond best to different settings .. ebst to get it on a dyno really .
