Hey all

My bike has started spitting flames out of my can when I downshift, or ease off the throttle at anything between 8,000 - 12,000rpm. Its when I downshift at higher RPM's, blipping the throttle before I knock it down a gear... it pops and then flames...

Although it sounds and looks cool... I dont want it doing it..

What could it be? Air/Fuel mixture? Running to rich? Timing?

Might be running rich mate, as far as i know its just unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust.

Mine pops when rolling off from high revs but im sure it doesnt spit flames, not unless i hit the kill switch and then turn it on again

Yeh, I didnt relise it was flames as well until a mate following me told me... I'll adjust the air/fuel mixture. I did clean the carbs out last week, now there clean again... maybe would new a slight adjustment.

wouldnt worry about it.

its just unburnt fuel in the exhaust igniting when u back off, u watch all the race bikes do it, and their fuelling is spot on
