Hey all! Hows things?
Just picked up my 1st zxr400 H model.
It has a polini(?) rear shock and a full stainless system.
Bit raggy round the edges but it goes well!
My front brakes are dangerous and the rear brake sticks on... does that mean I need a caliper rebuild??
I have dyno print-outs for 66.7 bhp too! Cooooooooooooool

hello mate welcome!

66bhp, that a pretty healthy engine! nice one 8)

In what way are the front calipers dangerous?

Rear caliper may just need to be taken off and the piston cleaned up, but an H model bike may need new seals at that age. IF you clean them up use rubber grease on the pistons as this will keep the crap off and should stop them from siezing again.

well, they are just rubbish! I yank on them as hard as I can and they do next to nothing. Also, the bleed nipple is snapped off of the rear caliper. rubbish! :smt013
One thing I am concerned about is the idle...
when I pull up, the bike idles at about 2000rpms for 5 or 6 seconds then drops back to about 1000. why would it do this? perished inlet rubbers??

Hey Paolo.....given up on the strokers?
If you need your calipers rebuilding and don't fancy doing it yourself, I have just had mine rebuilt by a top bloke.

Hi Harry, do I know you from somewhere? RGV forum?
Well, I need something remotely economical now with a decent size tank, hate having to stop for fuel every hour!
Who was this guy who rebuilt your calipers??
