White/Blue Smoke on start-up

Okay, so my bike is showing signs of valve seal failure I think.

White/Blue smoke on start-up that clears once its up to temperature, during prolonged periods of 3/4, full throttle a sizable amount of smoke will be chucked out.

It has 53,000 miles on the clock with no service history hence I have no idea what needs doing.

Would anyone throw some suggestions as to preventative maintenance I should do for piece of mind?

I was thinking:

1/ Valve Seals.
2/ Head gasket, valve cover gasket.
3/ Shims.
4/ Stick Coil Mod....I have a split on Cylinder #1 HT Lead, it has some noticeable Copper Oxide build-up.

What else should I do/check?

Worth replacing the cam chain? Piston rings?

I am relatively competent in terms of getting down and dirty I just don't have that many specialized tools.

replace the camchain if needed, if the valve stem seals dont stop the oil burning then it must be the piston rings.

if you replace the piston rings get the cylinders honed so the new rings have something to "bed" into.
