Been Away

Post by cargo »

Just back in the UK after 3 weeks in Australia................Sydney and Perth to be exact................................

But I am now back and full normal scarcastic service will resume....................

Free bit of advice for all of you.....................get yourself a visa and go live in Australia it is a fecking fantastic place.........................I'm too old they dont want me but if you are under 50 and have a trade or a skill...then get your ass over there. There are lots of mining jobs in WA live in Perth and fly in and out to the mines on a weekly basis...................lots of money to be made and I really mean lots

Perfect weather for bikes too.......................fantastic beaches I went snorkeling on one beach and was swimming in the middle of a huge shoal of fish amazing.

Only problem is sleeping at night when it is hot but air con and a fan works lovely......................wonderful life style.............you gotta go

i looked into it as i loved it there too. the missus doesnt fancy it tho.. :smt012

think how much it would cost to get the bike to the island from there, it might even make the steam packet look "cheap"!
Noticed the mountainbikin on facebook, take it to the mgp an come out with us lot. Found some good rides last year. The seagull way or somethin, goes right around the island over the cliffs and up the beaches..

Yeah, we had noticed a decided drought of pithy posts from the Emerald Isle, wondered where you were.

I'm a bit too long in the tooth now too and the missus wouldn't leave her family, but if I were a younger man with no commitments I wouldn't be in this shithole of a country. With the benefit of hindsight I might have buggered off to Austria or Switzerland. Lot of pretty evil spidies in Aus Cargo shocking And not forgetting that the Poms get a rougher ride than you prolly did, everyone loves the Irish. Can't understand the young 'uns with trades over here going nowhere, struggling to get by,working all hours God sends to buy a house, no pension or having it robbed etc etc. Tell HM Gov to stuff their country and leave.

i went there a few years ago with my redundancy money. loved the place and didnt want to come home! i ran out of money though so i had to. i went to perth, alice springs and melbourne. i have a mate in perth working for a mine. he went out there last year and is on good money. he started on $38 an hour but that went up as he got sponsorship from them. he has a flat in this country which he is renting out but apart from that hehas no other ties and doesnt plan on coming back (apart from holidays)
anything is possible with enough time and money. and an open mind...
