as the title says, spent all day fixing bits of my bike, was removing the rear wheel and a spacer fell out, looks like a large-ish ~1-1.25" diameter washer.

it fell from the side with the castellated wheel axel nut on...but i dont know where it goes.

does it go axel nut - washer - adjustment block - swingarm...or does it go axel nut - adjustment block - swingarm - washer??

tried it the latter way and im sure it does not go, i actually deformed it trying to drive home the bikes axel, so im sure it doesnt go there...but i want to check.

If you're on about the thin washer instead of a thick spacer then on mine it goes behind the nut, in front of the adjuster

ok after looking at a few google pics, i think it goes as i put forst, axel nut-washer-adjustment block...still want confirmation please?

list of thing i did today:-
change 4 spark plugs for new ones
screw in a spark plug post properly into #1 HT lead
fit new crankcase breather hose
drain oil and replace with fresh oil
remove old oil filter and fit new one
remove front sprocket, rear sprocket and chain, replace all three
grease up rear axel and refit rear wheel
tension chain properly.

in 7.5 hours, 4 of those in the dark...not too bad.

two things though, 1st my front sprocket is slightly wobbly, i read somewhere that this is ok, its not really bad, but its not locked on tight which is what i would imagine it to be? and 2nd my gear level dropped down slightly (about 1/8 turn) so i need to figure out how to pull this back up...its ok, but it feels weird being so low down.

the bike feels like a new machine now, i can even hear a whine off the new chain and sprockets (i assume this is normal?), it feels to pull better, and the chain no longer slaps about everywhere! i would have given it abit more of a thrashing, but its -2C here and the roads were already fairly icy so i didnt wanna push it. plus i have never broken and rivited a chain before so i do need to check that ive done it right at some point, ill give it a high rpm blast maybe tomorrow, get it to stretch a little, then adjust it again.

yeah thats the one, it is a washer really, yeah thats a load off my mind, i know what wheels can be like if they are not 'spacered' correctly!

yeah i did that, but as the microfich doesnt show the adjustment block, or the swigarm, its not that much use for a problem like mine.
