The problem I have right now is when my bike reaches normal temp it seems to cut out at low revs or comes to a stand. Still. But it don't do it when its cold
Any ideas anyone?

Most likely carb's are needing a tweak , if bike has been standing for a long period of time they might need cleaned - when was it's last service ?

Balancing the carb's might also help and again this goes back to - when was the last time it was serviced ?

Have the shims ever been checked/adjusted as they warm up gaps change so what worked when cold is not so good when hot ?

see a theme starting here winks

Check all the service parts, filter n plugs - if they are new/ good condition you can rule them out

Happy hunting,

MM!

Could be running far too rich, so it runs fine when cold but gets choked up when hot. Check the choke isn't sticking on (both the cable operation and the plungers on the carbs) and also the air filter. If the filter is bunged up it will have the effect of making the bike run rich.

Quite a lot of things it could be but you need to have a benchmark to start from like MM says of knowing the bike is serviced and tip-top. Then you can concentrate on specific areas. If it's a pig in a poke you don't know where you are to start with.

Hi thanks for the repliesmy husband has cleaned out the air filter and carbs. And checked the choke we have ordered new spark plugs too now. Haven't taken it out for a run yet due to the dodgey weather :( but hopefully will get out tomorrow.

Well why didn't you say hello? I don't bite, honest :smt001 I think I prolly saw you arrive too once. I looked for you when I had a mozy around later and found your bike but no rider lurking anywhere near. You make sure you speak next time. I shalln't be there again until spring now, already getting cabin fever :smt013

Ah, maybe it wasn't you I saw then. I deffo saw a lady arrive on a ZXR once (pretty sure it wasn't a fella with long hair :smt005 ). That's good in a way as the bike was, shall we say, hard done by so at least I won't have to be being all polite about a bit of a wreck when we meet. By the sounds of it your old man looks after yours well so I'm expecting a gleaming exhibit :smt002

Would be very nice to meet you, I'll drop you a PM when I'm going and if the pair of you are there we can say hi :smt001
