Filler cap leak?

I did some maintenance the other and took my tank off- however it fell over upside down! Fuel pissed out of the filler cap, not just a few drops.
This isnt supposed to happen is it- i mean a tank of fuel isnt meant to be upside down and all that, but if i were to drop the bike i dont want fuel coming out all over the place!
Ive just bought the bike and havent ridden it yet (got to sort a couple of other things first).
I took the filler cap off, 6 allen bolts and a security screw, and the rubber underneath seems intact. Is there anything missing under the rubber perhaps?
There was another small hole that could have a screw screwed into it (not the security srew hole), but there was nothing screwed into it. Is this normal?

Help! :smt017

Could be just fuel coming out of the overflow pipe

I'd be very impressed if fuel came out the overflow me a tank that was upside down. Some kind of special anti gravity fuel ?
I doubt there is much to worry about its prob just fuel finding its way out via the breather.

Nearly forgot. . .
The other hole you can see is more than likely the fuel cap recess drain

Just being paranoid- im not gonna get fuel leaking if i fling it round the bends am i? Especially if ive got a full tank!

I'm sure it will be fine.....................dont go flinging it into the secenery or you will have more than a leaking cap to worry about
