I'm over for the tt and might go back for a few days of the manx too!

Great Pics, how difficult do you find it changing from 400 to 600, as the braking points etc must be quite different, I find it hard enough racing on one bike.

Certainly will be doing the Manx I hope to have 3 rides.....................

I hate getting off the 400 and getting straight onto the 600.........makes the 600 seem very much faster than it is.
Also it really messes with braking points no matter which way round I change over 400 to 600 or 600 to 400

if there is a little time say 15 or 30 minutes between races then it's not such a problem

The one place it doesn't bother me too much is at the Manx.................at lot of the first few miles are flatout on both bikes so gives time to get used to the change in fact getting off the 600 and jumping onto the 400 is actually great cos it feels so terribly slow.

So what's old? We had a guy race with us this past weekend, he's 63 I think, goes pretty well, certainly mid pack on an SV650. I turned 50 last month.

I'm 50 next birthday...............and when it comes to the 400 class here thats old.......................Dennis Galagher who is from Scotland still races in classic racing here he's 75
My good friend Larry Devlin is 65 + and he still races.

Our 400 class is mostly older racers, all the youngsters seem to be on 600's. I won the class a couple years ago and have only been doing a couple races a year since then. 400's aren't all that common here as Yamaha was the only factory that imported them to the US and that was back in 1988-1990. SV650's are the lightweight bikes to have around here. There were 40 SV's on the grid last weekend and 10 400's,in their race, one kawi, mine, the rest vfr honda's and old yammies. A local motor builder imported a bunch of honda's several years ago so there's a few around here with lots of motor work.
