side lights

im having trouble with my side lights. and before i make a messand rip it appart thort id ask 1st.
the lights dont come on with the switch but the healights do.
if i put the ignition to p then the side lights come on.
any suggestions?

take off right hand side switches and clean them up, may be the side light one is dirty/corroded.

Are the licence plate bulb and tail lights working when on side light and when on park?

yeah they come on with park. im going to have a futher investigtion tomorrow night. nearly dun with doing it up just the little niggely jobs left!

if they all work then i imagine it is just a break in a wire between the switch selector and the side light
