Anyone doing Oulton with Wirral next weekend? It will be my first time with them, if I get in - sent my entry form a bit late...
First outing for the season too, so will be doing the MSV day on Friday 9th.

Hi lucky
we were at Anglesey, finished last I think two laps down on leaders, missed the warmup lap ( I went to the gents and the previouse race was red flagged ) made a good start but on the back staight my engine kept cutting out from sucking in water through the ramair when I was following another bike, I pulled over at the top of the hill onto the grass and sat there watching the race and thought Id just try it again, it fired up first time I think my best lap time was 2.40 so not the best start to the season.

Hi Si,
didnt notice you stuck at the side, but then i couldnt really see much to be honest cos of the amount of spray.
i was the idiot who lobbed it in the warm up in race one trying to get plenty of heat in my tyres but fortunately without much damage i was out for race 2, and managed somehow to go from the back of the grid to a P2 which was nice.
hoping oulton will be dry cos its nasty under the trees when its rained!!!
good luck anyways!

Very nice start to the season - lots of sunshine and great racing. Used 14/46 for a change; cut a second off my previous best lap time in moving from last on the grid (27th) to 8th in race 1. Slower in race 2 and finished 9th, chasing Jim on his pink machine all race long to no avail!
Good to see Jim and Si there. Sure I'll bump into you again later in the season.

hi mate, yeah the weather was great. i had two absolute shockers off the start line, and really struggled with grip in race 2, but looking at the times everyone was a second or two slower. I dont like oulton so glad its out the way, and the lad at the front must have been an MRO rider out for practice ahead of this weekend (at least i hope so) cos he was quiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick! U doin any more rounds with the wirral?

Might do the late October one at Oulton.
Didn't recognise the guy who won; he's wasn't a Bemsee rider in the last couple of years. Very quick though.

If it was Andy Whitehead, then his bike is 80+bhp....believe me, I've seen the dyno chart

That said, it ain't just having power that makes you fast - he is a very good rider. Nice guy as well.
