VIN/Engine number location

Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy another ZXR400 L1 and I've found a really nice one, however I don't know where the VIN number is located and as I'm going to have a look at it today I would like to know so I can check it's not stolen or anything.

chassis number is on the headstock
engine number is on a flat by the oil filter

Doesnt need any work doing to it and you get a full bike for spares with it

Believe me, if I had the money to buy your bike I would, it's a stunner, but I don't
and I'd never forgive myself if I dropped it. Plus I'd have to restrict it and the insurance would be insane because of the upgrades lol. It'll go to a good home anyway mate.
Anyway.. I was up in Birkenhead yesterday to have a look at the bike, and I have officially put a £100 deposit down on it, when I go to collect it next Saturday I'll put a few piccies up for you all
