I could do with getting some insurance this year for racing, as I was injured last year and had quite a few months off work.

Who do you use for accident insurance??
Any problems making a claim/ payment?
How much does it cost and what do you get for your money?
can you get plans for time off work aswell?

cheers guys

I'm insured with the CICA and they are brilliant.....................

however I have a feeling that they do NOT cover motorcycle accident for new customers but still worth ringing them

Just been checking the CICA website and it would seem that they still do provide cover on one of their plans even if you do ride a motorcycle

The one to go for seems to be the Cashback Accident Plan

For the point of view of claiming and dealing with them I have no complaints I've claimd twice and they have looked after me very well...................

I use them too Gaz. they are very good.
All i have with them is accident cover. I pay 30 pound a month and get about 650 a month payout for total disablement, then half that for 'light dutys' Covers me for any accident, doing whatever, so ideal for the bikes mate.
Altho, i did hear they have changed there policy do do with something, might be worth reading a bit closer to see if anything has changed with them.

I provide income protection, life cover etc, but as far I am aware CICA are the only one that will cover bike racing.

CICA are good, there is usually a REP at most bike meets. They will give you instant cover, sign the form, pay 1 month there and then, crash in qualifying and they pay up! ND no I didn't b4 you ask!! BUPA also cover Motor Racing (with them too)

Yep, CICA for me as well, but, be aware that they've changed their small print this year, they no longer provide 'instant' cover, you need the policy in place for 14 days before a claim now :smt002
