H Head and L Block and cams?

Does anyone know for sure if the head of an H model is exchangeable with that of the L model?
I have an L model with a cracked camshaft cap. I believe that the caps are machined with the head so im either looking for a new head or a new engine. Ive found an H model head and caps on ebay. So would it fit on my L model Head? Also i have remachined cams from the L model, would they also fit in the H model Head?
