My bike is due for its MOT next month and I was wondering if my cam chain, tensioner etc did need replacing would this come up on the MOT?

The noise it was making seems to have stopped and I haven't heard it the past few times i've ridden. Thanks

I doubt it. Would still be worth getting sorted ASAP before it fecks your engine though

MOT has nothing to do with engine mechanics at all.

Its just for making sure the bike is Roadworthy & Legal confuddled

If it's just an oil, filter and plug change then no. Seriously though, if you think it may need doing, find out for sure. What makes you think it needs doing? And do you think it's the chain or the tensioner? If it's the tensioner then there's a thread on here somewhere that tells you how to check

It was making a ticking noise which I could only hear at low revs like when I was going down hill and had backed off the throttle near where I live. Seems to have stopped making the noise though. When it was making the noise someone suggested it could be cam chain tensioner. Then someone I know who knows quite a bit about bikes rode it and he reckons it was fine and nothing wrong with cam chain or anything.
When it goes in for MOT I'll get it checked out!
