What is this part? (Where does it belong)

Hey after changing the piston rings (river mud had stuck them into the pistons, therefore my low comp.) Anyway as I went to re-build I found a small black rubber triangle looking thing, about 1.5 inches long, that had fallen down from the cam's to the pick-up cover.

Had a look in the book an it shows the piece but not where it goes. I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes. I know it's something to do with the cam-chain side of things but no luck

Anyone any ideas?

its the damper block for the camchain tensioner,

slots in behind the intake side camchain guide, top left of the ignition rotor housing

Thanks for help guys, got it all built last night. New base and head gasket and cleaned up 15 years worth of crap on the pistons. Hopefully should stop my low compression.
