Am gonna do an oil/filter change so will do it upright

Drained the oil and got the genny cover off. Realised why its leaking. The gasket only goes 3/4 way round, then the rest has been filled in with sealant, and this is where its leaking from. Bloody tosser at C&B Birmingham could've asked if i wanted a new gasket :smt013 ! Gna order one from cradley then and get it sorted properly.

All part of the learning curve for me this

Actually cradleys only an hour and a bit from me so will ring tomorrow and see if they stock one and then will hopefully pick up

God i hate bodger's. If your gonna bodge it, at least make sure it works!!

Lol, seen many like that in my time.

Friend had a gilera runner which he couldn't figure out why it was vibrating, on closer inspection the head to cyl gasket was comprised solely of bath filler and the base gasket was made of kitchen foil!

My yz490 forks had a load of that ?PVC? window sealant stuffed in and around the fork seals to attempt to plug the leak! Bodge and scarper ftl!

haha you have to smile at some bodged jobs!


Went to Cradley Kawasaki and got me a new gasket for 6quid or so. Got some genuine kwaka genny cover bolts too as i felt like splashing out and replacing my cheap blue ebay ones that were on there, most expensive part!!. Fitted it this afternoon and am happy to say no more leak

Started putting panels on bike but was interupted by start of xfactor

will have it all done by tomorrow and will be able to go for a proper spin, only problem though is my indies not flashing atm!
