If he didn't have you sign something it's unlikely in my opinion it'll go further.... but don't hold me to that.
Hopefully you won't do it again and it won't take a fine and points for you to learn a lesson this time!

unfortunately a NIP (notice of intended prosecution) does not need to be written, it can be verbal

scott, did he just read you the standard "You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention " caution bullshit, or did he say something along the lines of...

"You will be reported for consideration of the question of prosecuting you for this offence."

cuz if it was the latter then that was a verbal NIP

to which if the pigs are gonna take it further, they have upto 6mths basically before you may get a letter, bit of a shitty wait im afraid mate, i've been there!

getting the caution read to you doesn't mean you've been arrested, i'm assuming he has your name and address?

you definately aint been arrested cuz you would have been taken away for sure, but if he had enough evidence to do you, why not arrest?

same here .. and if it arrives "about" 6 months later .. check the date VERY carfefully.. I had one turn up 6 months and 1 day after the offence .. and got away with it completely. Just sent it back with a cover note stating that it was a time barred offence (on the advice of a specialist solicitor).. never heard anything back
