i like the seat unit on the pics that BANJO posted up on the dark blue zxr400 wot model off r6/r1 is that seat unit off any 1 no???plus dose it go stright on 2 the zxr400 sub frame?tho with my bike being a race bike i think my sub frame has been shortend down not sure tho.thanks

so who do you take it to once you've bought a r6 ars end to have it fitted then?

i wouldnt have a clue where to start if it has to be modded to make it fit though

when you change the rear seat plastics most people buy a complete subframe to match, but if you're looking to fit it to your zxr subframe then you will have to more than likely chop the subframe and/or make brackets to fit.

il probley just end up getting 1 of the 1's from AMS thats for the zxr dose any 1 no if they go straight on 2 the sub frame???

Look at it carefully and you will notice its half ZXR400 (the front bit) and half R6/R1 (the back bit). My guess is they have plastic welded it together and finished it off nicely.

i dont think any of that really looks like my zx 1 m8?it dose look very well tho i muct say!has any1 on here put any different seat units on 2 ther zxr400?if so wot model and was ther much hassel in fitting it???

The bits that offer upto the tank look exactly like the ZXR's.

rob's right, it's a bit of a mongrel tailpiece.

here's an 01 R6 - same tail (albeit with pillion pad). but the front bits are completely different.

however the front of the tailpiece in the photos is clearly standard l-model zxr. look at any photo on the site.

it is very tidily done.

up at the tank/round the sides of the sub frame i think mine is different and covers more of the subframe.

Yeah the standard seat uni covers the subframe, but in that they obviously fancied something different and fancied exposing some of it.
