I got this on saturday for a laugh.

having duffed my neck in playing rugby and being unable to ride sport bike stylee ninja for 3 days a week, I got this for half the week. It is so much fun!! Un-erringly practical too, and I got me a bargain!

i was a spit away from buying a new ER6-f there amazing fun to ride and handel well for what they are. Only worrys about my job stoped me from having it. Sports bikes just arnt cost effective sticking 15,000+ miles a year on them

yep but really they just cover up handeling issues. The TLR is known for having extream tank slappers and the TLS was recalled to have a damper put on but personaly i've not had one that i couldnt control (i've had the bars slapping off both sides on the tank...) but it slowed the streering down far to much for my liking. The reason why people got them so bad was down to poor riding mainly.

i personally wouldnt take it off, at least not till you have got used to the bike

AGREED,

Was told from day one to put one on my GPz600R as they are notorious for shaking their head and I never needed it

Flip, my GT550 wobbled so much at speed my mates all backed off waiting for me to be pinged off

All I done was went with the flow and went faster

Steering dampers are for tracks cranked up max and not for road, why my bikes have them is for "Bling" and i'm happy with that

Roads need critical corrections made continuously but tracks are a finite ride so you can set the damper to the correct level of head shake. All my bikes with dampers have been set on 0 , but sometimes I put them on full when working on them to stop the steering "tipping" on it's self and leaving me in a sticky wicket!

Believing you need one is kidding yourself, try tightening your head race a bit

never had one on the gsxr1100 and that needed one!!

none-the-less, fucking stunning bikes to look at and listen too. I cant think of a better looking bike that suzuki ever made.

Yep! As i said the main problem was letting weekend worriors out on them expecting it not to be able to bit you untill you get to 10,000 rpm like IL4's then finding out that actually its got quite a bit of go from 2,000 rpm...
