with the airbox fitted you wont need the tape, the tape is a bodge to counter act the lack of airbox

Tape to sort mixture, the innovation around here is stunning :pmsl .

Reminds my of the individual K&N's on my GPz900. I put sports socks over 'em to richen it up cause some fool hadnt re-jetted to match the filters. Worked an absolute dream until they fell off. If it ran too rich I just had to 'pull my socks up'!!!

The japanese build em, we bodge em.

lol, it was only suggested as a bodge till he has an airbox..

M and P in swansea however .. taped up my airbox as part of a proffesional "dyno-setup" because

a) he didnt see the point in setting up a zxr400 trackbike anyway*
b) when pressed he admitted that what he should be doing was fitting bigger jets and lifting the needles, but didnt have any washers for the needles.

*phone call

me : hi i'd like to bring my zxr400 trackbike in to get the fuelling setup
him : why ? whats the point ? it'll cost more than the bike's worth
me : what ?
him : well, it wont make it any better and whats it worth topend ? £300 ?
me : whatever, can i bring it down for a power run, and i'll worry about the setup later.

He sounds like a bit if a twat.

Who cares weather its worth it or not, he supplies a service and you pay for it, simple as that!

certainly not recommended.

guy on the till told me zxr's were toad on the basis that he rode one "when they was new" :smt017

all in, thoroughly unpleasant experience.
