Apparently he's all but sighned for Ducati. I think his style would suit the ducati. 500 days were awsome and with the technology about now they could make them "ECO FRIENDLY". Something needs sorting, theres riders in BSB and WSB that should realy be in motogp, but with the limited rides available they aint gona put up with second rate machines and wages and why should they.

BSB and WSB riders make crap MotoGP riders as proven over and over again. James is always going to be a strong mid runner but never a race winner imo.

Ye they dont make as good gp riders as others, but its the top class of the sport and obviously every rider wants to get to the top only if the package can win then its just down to the floppy bit on top. If they leveled they playing field oneway or another more riders would be on the grid like the gold 'ol days.

I was reading recently about the '08 Ten Kate hanspree cbr1000, a test rider said he thought it was so good that the traction control wasn't even used. The data aquisition later showed that it had been called in several times but was so un-noticable that it didnt cause any difference in engine sound or feel for the rider.

I wonder if the electronics are now so sophisticated that it could really get a really average rider round the track at a decent rate.

The bsb bikes have the same electronics available and even noddy racers like me who raced supermoto over the last 3 years had launch control, adjustable engine braking, differing power curves for circuits, gears and weather.

WSB 2009 should be good with Shakey getting a factory Ducati with Biaggi. Will be good to get a competitive brit back in WSB.
Aprilia, BMW, and maybe KTM all arriving too. It should be a field packed with variety.

Will be interesting to see how Hayden gets on with Ducati (if he gets a ride). He may have been fecked about by Honda with testing etc. But to be fair, Ducati aren't gonna give him much room. Stoner's gonna be pulling the strings when it comes to development.

Biaggi. Even though I used to hate the guy, seeing him in this years Aussie WSB races I couldn't help but like the guy. Even though he crashed out of both...

As for Ducati in superbikes they should all be -ing banned. Or maybe let Yamaha bore the R1 out to 1500cc to 'even it up' as well? Bunch of butt.

I was more asking about the 'in BSB' comment. Sure there's a few guys in WSB that have ridden in GPs, and probably a few more that should be given a chance. I wouldn't go so far as to say Biaggi 'should be' in GPs though. He rode there for years, didn't do much other than piss off every factory he rode for (to the point where HRC in particular wont go anywhere near him).

In BSB there's Byrne, Ellison & Haslam who have ridden in GPs before, and there's a lot of young riders coming through, but I can't think of any of them that I'd say were ready to take on a GP ride next year.

Sorry i put that across wrong, i meant riders that are in it now, but more than likely wont progress. Tom Sykes had a test on the Suzuki a year or two ago and went raely well, second or so off the pace.
