problem with the none smokeing pubs and smoking pubs idea is that the owners will always open smoking pubs other wise your truning away 50% if your bussines.
Its only a matter of time now untill they bring in a achole law. There already making them print warnings all over the bottels (just like they did fags) give its 30 odd years and achoholic beer is going to be ilegal

they'll not ban alcohol or cigarettes simply because of the revenue they generate off it which is why we have this ridiculous political bandwagon of a law introduced. If the government wants to infringe on my rights by not allowing me to dictate under my own business roof whether someone can or cannot have a perfectly legal cigarette then they should have just banned smoking altogether. It's just more stupid that it's still legal to smoke, just not where any of the fucking whiny monkeys might be within a ten mile radius of a small burning ember.
The rile up about second hand smoke is next to laughable, with all the other dirty chemicals we have in the air and around us over the centuries and people whinge about a little nicotine. I've seen people who whinge about cigarettes using aerosol spray paints in their garage without a mask.
i want to start another petition concerning alcohol and have that banned in pubs and clubs because pissed up fuckwits spoil my evening and the smell of vomit sticks to my clothes. it ruins mine and everyone elses liver and really doesnt even taste that great.
no i dont drink very much at all. i prefer to stick to the ganja, better evenings all round.

Ganja is just pointless.......... why take somethin that makes you eat more and wana sleep??????????? nooo thanks. it mucks your mind up an all.
as for alcahol they will never ban it but i think maybe one day measures to moderate it might be introduced an i do think you should have to be 21 to drink to (soz to all under that age) but i think at 21 (

for some reason) you know your limits i dont drink much but know when iv had enough but its only been in the last few years iv realised that.

So now you'll walk into a nice, smokeless pub with your mates, sit down around a table, and start chatting away.
Next thing you know, a pissed-up group of smoke-stinking Titheads will come trundling up to you:
"You're in our seats :smt013 "
"They were empty!"
"We only went out for a fag - get the f*** out of my seat NOW! :smt013 "
Cue the fight....
Something that nobody seems to have thought of. Maybe if they put more seats in pubs first....

why drink something that makes you unsteady on your feet, gives you difficulty focusing, induces vomiting, knackers your liver, also gives you an appetite, is very fattening and causes you to spend the day after whining about your headache? Oh and it's more expensive than ganj.

People are less likely to ride their bike/car if they've been drinking.
A scary ammount of people think it's 'ok' to get stoned and then ride/drive...

Thats bullshit, more people still think it's ok to driver their car after a couple of drinks because until you get totally hammered you think your not impaired. Your very aware of how stoned you are when you get stoned, it's been proven that stoners drive better slightly stoned because their aware of their impairment and compensate by driving much more carefully, see it's not confidence inducing stuff ya know.

A scary amount of people over the age of 60 also drive cars and even sober their dangerous, you cant pull stuff out of your butt and call it fact.

alcohol and 'ganj' seems the same to me. Both drugs with positive and negative effects but at the end of they day they are both poisons to the body. The only real difference i see is that one is legal and one isnt!! and i always find this interesting:
http://www.procon.org/AddictChart.htm wrote:Health officials were asked to put aside social as well as economic pressures such as drug availability or acceptability and to evaluate the inherent addictive potential of the following six drugs.
Relative Addictiveness of Common Drugs
(100=Most Addictive; 0=Least)
Drug Rating
Nicotine 99
Alcohol 81
Heroin 80
Cocaine (Nasal) 71
Caffeine 70
Marijuana 22
Conclusion:
(1) The most addictive drug, nicotine, is not only not scheduled, it can be purchased without a prescription by anyone over the age of 18.
(2) Cocaine is about as addictive as coffee or tea's caffeine.
(3) Alcohol is about as addictive as heroin.
