Had restrictor washers took out over the weekend...... OMG
its heaven on 2 wheels!! Am still taking it steady (only past test last oct) but managed to keep up (cof cof he spent all day in my mirrors )with my dad who has a gpx750, really noticed the difference, so did me dad lolol

f*** up could be abit far but if you just stick the restrictors in intakes alone you can end up sending it stuipedly rich, most people wont bother to correct it and end up doing some damage

all it does is restrict the amount of air going through the carbs.

so does the throttle valve.

your bike doesn't run ridiculously rich on part throttle or lean on wide open throttle.

till someone can explain why this is any different, then i'm afraid I refuse to believe you can damage an engine by restricting it.

it dosent restrict the slider it restricts the air flow, same as if you take the air box off all togeather then your going to get more air and send it lean

If my limited knowledge of zxr restrictors is correct and they are washers placed in the carb rubbers then they resritct the already mixed fuel and air and so can't affect the fuel air ratio and so have no effect on how rich or lean the bike will run.
Running rich will not do any real damge anyway just leave you with black soot plugs that need cleaning.

I have had 140 on the motorway flat out but you can pop out 130 most places.
Full micron and K and N.

mine hit around 110-115 (guesin, no speedo) at 15.500 rpm...
thats with a 14/47

mine'll nudge 140 on stock gearing, currently absolutely tops out at 135 on 14/45 gearing

KnN filter, #105 main jets, Full Micron Race system, snorkel removed from airbox. 14,900rpm rev-limiter.

given the raised rev-limit (what cdi are you running ?) thats actually 138.24mph

interestingly the extra 600rpm of your setup almost exactly cancels out the 2 extra teeth on your rear sprocket compared to my 14/45 ratio which gives 138.79mph @ 14,900rpm .. but your bike is gonna get there quicker

whilst a stock 15/45 would give you a theoretical top speed of 144.7mph @ 14,500rpm !!

Im running a bdk ignition

147mph ive had on the clocks so put it through a proper trap and itll probably be less, got a micron race can with no baffles, stainless steel downpipes, K&N oil filter and race oil, double bubble screen, single seat cowell but removed rear foot pegs and the things that look like handles next to them so a little less weight and possible areodynamics might make a difference.

A different time when i was racing my mate on his R6 he was right on my butt n said on his digital clocks we were both doin 140

indicated 141mph on the m1 (ahem... ) with me and a big tail pack on the back!
That's all standard, but with one tooth up on the front sprocket, and pirrelli supercorsas fitted. Oh, and my race jacket and jeans on. Try ragging in a) with a race jacket, and b) then with a textile/goretex style piece on. One of them will make it feel like the wind is trying to pull your shoulders off!Guess which...

and you know the funniest thing... I covered 100 miles in less than 1 hour that run (between fuel stops) and then had to put a whopping... 10.8 litres in the tank to brim it... that's a ton up FOR AN HOUR at 42mpg!
