Looks like someone forgot to tell this guy!
Although it doesnt go up through the swingarm the guy has still managed an underseat exhaust!
earth to planet rob?
he's got a vfr single sider on there. vfr's have underseat exhausts. if you tried it with a standard zxr swinger the right hand side of the swingarm would go straight through that link pipe.

maybe baz should stick it in the buyers guide? "make sure that the bike has the standard single sided swing arm, it seems that alot of people tend to put the VFR's conventional one on."

i didn't say it couldn't be done, just that it would be difficult.
that's about the only way I could think of of doing it. pretty awkward fit - don't forget there's no footpeg in that photo, and it needs to be bolted back on somehow.

Just space the footpeg out

Only thing is that might not look that good!

I'm in the process of trying to accomplish something similar to Iain..
Iain, in the first post I believe, says the VFR750 and 800 swingarms are too wide for the frame which confuses the hell out out of me.. Unless I'm sorely mistaken, the swingarm I've bought is from a VFR750, ca. 1997, and all it'll need to fit is actually a spacer. I can see the 800 arm being too wide, as it mounts to the engine, whereas the 750 arm mounts only to the frame.
The VFR400 swingarms only have a single bolt (as does the RVF400s) - but mine has a multitude of wheelbolts, but still fits inside the frame ?...
Does anyone have an email addy for Iain as it seems he has popped off the net :-/
Cheers, and thanks,
/Steff

Twas my initial thought, but his "username" is kinda dead - you don't get a link when you hoover over it as you do with eg. your username :-/
