Sorry i'm late getting back on this one (been driving around scotland in a campervan) but i'm booked on a derbyshire bike safety thing all day saturday and i hadn't realised it was the same day.

Maybe another time? I'm only in Nottingham.

f***, not gonna be there either. bike playing up so i decided to start with the "easy" things, took the starter motor off fine, dissassembled it to try and clean it, after taking fucking hours to get it back together ive messed something up, im not even sure whats up, but it just clicks and buzzes real bad at me.

about ready to sell the fucking thing.

Sure it's not the starter relay? I had a similar problem with my scooter

its an odd one, the starter motor turns, but i fair mashed some of the carbon brushes trying to get the commuter bit in, the solenoid, when i depress the starter buton makes a loud click, then makes another click when i release the button. have ordered replacement starter motor. the starter motor turns over, i removed the generator cover to look at it, but it soesnt sound like its turning the motor over, just makes a kind of grinding sound.

fuel pump is working and the rest of the electrics are ok, the 30A fuse in the starter relay is fine and there are no fuses blown in the junction box...
