I've belonged to this forum for quite a while as I used to race a 400, mainly on the raods, hi Cargo, remember you from my Manx days.
My last race was Southern 100 in 2009 when my engine went bang.
I'm looking at racing next year so have started to strip it down, initally thought it was the head gasket. Thanks to Mori man for his excellent engine strip thread.
Sadly when I got the rocker cover off I saw one of the cams was damaged, I've pm'd Flute about the head he has for sale, does it fit an L1?
When I got the head off I noticed the gasket was fine, sadly theres a hole in a piston Dear Liza. So I now have a Winter project.
No doubt I'll be asking all sorts of odd questions over the coming months.
