Give me a brake !

Post by Mori Man »

Had to rumage through the storerooms today gathering up the parts I need for the bikes up coming MOT

So having disturbed nearly every box , bag and plastic container I thought I would marry up this lot and see how it looked.

J2 forks , billet adapters , Goldline 4pot Brembos :smt007

Will swap out all the hardware for Cone head allans and have already changed the pad pins for Stainless ones too.

If these dont stop me, nothing will !!

Have now made up four boxes with the parts for the next build and the frame said hello to the subframe today :smt001

You just know they'd look better on a 1989 VFR400 previously from the saitama area... :smt003

Bitten/drank to death by mosquitos I finally got them on today (the wee bastids even had a nibble at my builders bum shocking )

I call it "cough" braking as one finger is too extreme :smt005 Can't wait for the pads to bed in as already stoppin way to early ! Best order some headrace bearings too as I invisage a pile of stoppies being done :smt003

Oh, got the H1 clutch in , bike has had an underlaying problem the whole time as the pick up now is delightful :smt004 and full power to the redline which is even better :smt001 Gave me an indicated 125 at 14,500 in 3rd

Need to get camera mounted , get on the motorway and see where the needle actually stops cgeek

J1 seat cowl back on too , next some stainless fasteners all round for the calipers and mounts then get the SP cams in for Autumn thrashing :smt003

Errrrr thats it dirty :smt005 No, Really !

Haven't done anything to it for weeks and it sat under cover all the rainy season :smt009

As I keep saying , it's sunshine that makes it look so shiney :smt004

Got to agree though - them Brembos do look good :smt007

BTW, from what I can gather L clutch cables are longer as they route differently to the H.

MM! :smt001

PS. Just noticed I forgot to remove the rear passenger pegs, doh ! oldman
