There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.
Anyone got any good tips for better aerodynamics work on the zxr? also anyone know where to get a tail with undertray rather than having a gaping hole causing huge drag!
I second the clothes thing: in tight jeans and the jacket from my trackday 2 piece mine has touched 141mph, with a tail pack no less. In my winter textile suit i struggle to reach 125mph, you can really feel the pull on your shoulders. If you've got about 80 squid spare try getting a rear view camera instead of mirrors. The camera, with infrared leds for night time, can be an 18mm bullet shape that sits in a hole in your tail, with a wide angle lens, and you run one cable to a sat nav size screen you mount above instruments, with one cable plugged into a 12v line. Short of moving the exhaust to be under the belly (ktm rc8r style) this will probably make the biggest improvement. Oh, and there's a guy who makes carbon fibre fairings without the fake ram air intakes, have a search on here.
I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).
I find sitting up on the bump stop, tuck knees and elbows in with chin on the tank is good for a few kph at the end of the straight.
Air follows over the curve of your back & any air caught in your shoulders can escape between you legs.

MB
let me just check in my 'odds and ends' box, sure i left one of those somewhere...
