Parts from Japan

I have recently moved out to Japan, and get to see a lot of nice stuff here.
If anyone needs stuff then pls just PM me and I can help organise purchase and shipping to the UK.
As its a spare used part, it is void of Duty so again this saves cost..

I've not bought parts via Mori Man but I would have a LOT of faith in him and would trust him with regard to actually delivering and as to his discription of parts new or second hand.

In the middle of a national disaster and someone pips in they can supply parts

I have suspended work just now as roads and rail networks aren't fully operational. Had a fella wanting to bid on a TZR250 fuel tank last night, as I said to him

The seller is in Miyagi prefecture - most likely he and tank are gone (but pray they arent) but the listing still remains (another quake just hit 8:42am) . If available gawd only knows when it can be shipped down to me and thats going to be the problem with lots of things .

To me getting food & water supplies and using resources to ensure they do is more important than me tying them up with an exhaust system, fuel tank , forks or carbs!

So all I am saying is be warey !

PS: Duty is on everything except printed matter in the UK so dont be misled

National disaster or not the rest of Japan still goes on as normal.
I have shipped parts worldwide and have NEVER had any issue.
I do this as a hobby and not a business. I always get the cheapest shipping costs and
have always been 100% transparent with everything.
I pay for anything upfront inc the shipping and then scan and email a copy of the shipping document.
I then get refunded the costs by paypal.

As for parts into the uk.
If you take the time to read the customs and excise legislation.

this is not a misleading statement but a FACT.

so to all of you have had to pay duty for used part esp parts that are over 10 years old.
next time ensure this fact is listed on the documentation.

OK Stuboy just calm yourself down

your a complete newbie here and we have no idea who you are I gave consideration to the possiblity that you might even be a spammer.

No matter what price people have paid for parts or if duty was due or paid or not if any one person is happy with the price and gets the part they need then there is no issue.

You need to join in with this forum contribute and take part in discussions become part of "our family" and then when you have parts to sell or can source parts for people than you will have won their trust and price or duty will not be an issue.

I wasnt trying to scam or spam anyone, just being honest from the 1st post.

I am an Automotive Engineer working out here for Honda, originally from west wales & oxford.
I have had bikes for over 30 years, and currently have 4 here in Japan and 2 in the UK.
Japan = RS250, TZR250, ZXR400, RG500. UK = CBR959, RD250 ( always looking to increase my collection as I love to restore them )

Its only in the last month that I have again got myself another ZXR400, the last one back in 1993 and I have already
done the tweeks that I remembered from all those years & my little black book.
This is why I joined the forum. It wasnt to tout for business..

I have helped a lot of people out with RS & NSR stuff and thought it might be nice to let everyone know.

Buying parts or anything else on line via e-mail or forum messages is always going to be a risky business.
Know your seller or know your buyer..............personnal reccomendation is good too.
If in doubt ask.
