Daytona progressive CDI???

Post by hudders »

Hi all zxr petrol heads.

I was in the garage with my zxr with her clothes off for the first time today. :smt008

I had to whip out those pesky restrictor plates . I noticed under the rear seat a little knob saying of and on on it. I traced it to a box which said "daytona progressive CDI" which then plugged into the Main CDI unit which has a yellow sticker on it. Cant remember if yellow is restricted or blue, will chck the threads, but its an import. My question is:

does anyone know about this Daytona box?
Am i to assume that its gonna work when i turn it on? Im sure the last owner didnt know it was even there cause no sign of it in the paper work and he didnt say anything about it.

obviously its a go faster bit. So im excited.:)

A yellow CDI is restricted..................

I'm prepared to believe that this daytona thing is overcoming that restriction
