I've just read that KDMC's had all its proposed 2011 race calendar turned down by Knockhill and that there approaching Crail Raceway to fill the dates for next year.
Does anyone have any experience racing there, pit set up, is there power available etc?
I'm all set up for F400 for 2011 only to have lost the only venue I had any experience of, oh well!

There will still be racing at Knockhill. The Knockhill circuit is running its own series of 4 meetings to replace the KDMC and the NEMCRC will have one date at Knockhill so at least 5 meets at Knockers

Not sure I fancy racing round hay bails so I may give Crail a miss, but will wait and see what happens. As Dave says, there will be plenty racing at Knockhill, but East Fortune worth a go and their testing day is the best value for money you will get! £70 and a whole load of track time

Re: KDMC@Crail Raceway?
I'm just looking forward to racing , so long as theres a decent grid so i've got less chance of being last! (hopefully). Knockhill's just a bit more familiar to me as thats where I've done a few track days. A few left handers might be nice for a change though. I've not heard a bad word about East Fortune so I'll have to take a look I reckon and if its cheaper as well its a no-brainer. I'll be doin as many as my budjet allows. I can't see the Knockhills own champs being cheap though. I take it theres no issues in running in two different club champs? I presume they run the same regs?

Re: KDMC@Crail Raceway?
I'd be expecting Knockhill's own rounds to be cheaper than the KDMC ones as they'll not have the overhead of £6k+ per day for hiring the track. It's in their interest to get fuller grids and get people paying the ticket prices.
Crail; hmmm, I'll wait and see. It'll be generators, nothing sheltered and being the first year there for a while I'd not expect very organised.
Aim for the Melville testing day as Colin said, it's about £70 or £80 for the day and you'll get loads of track time. Hopefully we'll still get the North East club at Knockers too this year.
